Background Layout
PAR - Short Film
These are some of the background layouts I created for my original short film Par. The world draws inspiration from the terraced valleys of Masuleh and the intricate temple architecture of India.
In the film, the characters are half-human, half-bird creatures — agile beings who leap and glide effortlessly through their environment. With that in mind, I designed the world to be vast in scale yet entirely accessible to its inhabitants. Platforms, ledges, and open spaces are placed intentionally to allow seamless movement and flight, creating a setting that feels both expansive and alive with possibility.
FARGO - Short Film
This is one of the background layouts from my short film concept, Fargo. Set in mythical Mesopotamia, it tells the story of how far a parent will go to save their child.
AKSH - World Building
These are background layouts exploring the world of Aksh — a medieval Indian fantasy setting where humans and animals coexist in harmony, and magic not only exists but is also weaponized.
The designs draw inspiration from architectural elements found across India, while emphasizing the vast scale and rich scope of the world. All the layouts are made on paper and drafted with ink. Please click on the image to see it in proper ascpect ratio.
